“ On a recent camping trip in Bodega Bay, I stopped by the Fishetarian Market and it's was a nice visit. I was hankering for Clam Chowder and I was pleased to taste theirs. It was very flavorful, amply creamy, plenty of clams and just the right amount of potato chunks. It had a very balanced flavor. Their total menu was plenty and sure to please a small posse should you go with a group. The market has plenty of gift items, sodas, lots of to-go food and chotskies to convince you to gladly part with your money. There's a small dining area and the outdoor patio is pleasant. This place is worth a stop should you want to dine-in or if you need items for a little picnic. ”
“ Don’t miss this spot when you’re out in Bodega Bay! We had the phenomenal clam chowder in a bread bowl, the delicious fish & chips and of course the can’t miss raw oysters! We came around 2pm on a Saturday and there was a crowd but it wasn’t too hectic. Friendly service and delicious and fresh food! ”
“ So delicious! The clam chowder is really lovely and all the fried food was great too. There’s a sauce station so you can get as much as you need. Pretty crowded and somewhat pricey but very enjoyable. ”
“ Nestled right in the coastal town of Bodega Bay, this place was such a treat. Although it’s a bit of a tight fit for eating inside, I’d squeeze into any corner for a meal this good. My fiance and I were craving some fish and chips and saw that this place breads and then crusts their fish with panko breadcrumbs. We were excited to try this combination, and didn't even look at the rest of the menu. I'm not sure we ever would, these fish and chips were the best we had on our entire trip. The fish was perfectly coated, flaky on the inside, served piping hot and fresh from the frier. We saw sweet potato fries as an option, and both decided to have those accompany our fish. For a moment, we had a little bit of regret knowing neither of us would try the regular french fries, but as soon as we tasted one of those crispy sweet potatoes, all doubts disappeared. A lot of my friends affectionately call me a sauce monster, knowing that I cannot eat any food without some sort of sauce, whether it be hot sauce or ranch, I can confidently say that Fishetarian's sauces were fantastic. We could not decide whether it was the Maui Wowie or Chipotle Mayo that stole our hearts the most, but all of their sauces complimented our fish and chips incredibly well. They even have a little shop inside where you can buy a little souvenir to remember your time, we chose a sticker and a beer glass. ”
“ Finding a battered gluten-free and dairy-free fish and chips is rare, but this place did not disappoint! The breading was perfect, and the fish was flavorful, paired with delicious fries. My husband had the grilled fish and chips and loved it. The indoor dining area is small, fitting about 15 people, and there are a few outdoor tables for nice weather days. The restaurant had a laid-back reggae vibe, which added to the charm. I would’ve liked more fries for the price. Overall, a great spot for a tasty, allergy-friendly meal! ”
“ Best clam chowder I’ve ever had! We ended up coming back twice during our trip to Bodega Bay. The tiramisu was delicious, and we really enjoyed the shrimp tacos and fish and chips. The food overall was fantastic, and the indoor seating has a warm, cozy vibe - definitely a nice spot if you can snag a table. ”
“ Absolutely loved it here. We drove from San Francisco and the drive itself is amazing. The restaurant space is huge and on a Saturday it was completely filled. We were still able to snag some tables, though. There are a bunch of indoor and outdoor seating areas. There are some facing the sea as well, but those were all taken. You can place your order either at the counter or through an interactive touchscreen. Apart from being a restaurant, they also sell gifts and stuff. Once you place your order, they give you a buzz, which rings once your order is ready. Ours took about 15 minutes. We had a vegetarian friend with us who ordered the veggie delight sandwich, and it came with a side of fries, and she liked it. I got the barbeque oysters, which was very tasty, but also unique experience for me because I never had cooked oysters before. Also got the fried fish and calamari, which were both extremely fresh and crispy. We also got the crabcakes as crabs are known delicacy in this part of the world, and it was extremely sumptuous. They have a bunch of hot sauces on your table, but you can also get sauce from a sauce station, which has sauces like south-west, ketchup and tartar. So have alcoholic beverages if you want, but we rather went with some kombucha. The prices were definitely a little bit higher, but not exorbitant. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody coming to bodega Bay. ”
“ The clam chowder was excellent, even though it was a bit under-salted. I recommend adding a little salt yourself. The tortillas weren’t anything special. The cider listed on the menu for 3 is actually hot cider! But it’s very tasty. ”
